Using the ICER-2-GO online medical records system, In-Home Online has just released a software program that will allow families to access caregiver notes about their loved one online. Using ICER-2-GO for the medical record portion, In-Home Online creates daily notes that feature the activities performed by caregivers such as bathing, household chores, grocery shopping, toileting, etc.

In-Home Online is designed to fill in the communication gap that happens when a loved one needs caregiving in another city or state. Pharmacy makes mistake

I went to my pharmacy last weekend to pick up one of my medications. Because it was convenient, I went to the drive-through. I handed them my debit card to pay for my copay. When I received a bottle of pills, I didn't recognize the name. As I looked at the bottle, it indicated that it was a generic for another medication.

I told the pharmacist that there had been a mistake. I was not on this medication. "Yes, you are," he replied. "This is what the doctor ordered."

"No, it isn't. We tried this medication 10 years ago and it didn't work."

"I'm telling you, this is what the doctor ordered," he replied belligerently. "You have to take this medication."

"No, I don't. This prescription was filled incorrectly. I will not take this medication. Refund my copay."

When he refused to refund my copay, I left the drive-through window and went in the store talk to the manager. I eventually got my refund and have totally switched pharmacies. In addition, I reported the error to the pharmacy corporate office. Luckily, I have a current PHR (Personal Health Record) that lists all my medications and allergies.
